On Monday, Year 3 visited the Great Exhibition of the North. We designed a bridge of the future and posted it in a capsule to travel by hyperloop (in an building that used to be used as a multi-storey horse park!). We learned about Sir Joseph Swan inventing the light bulb and loved touching low temperature lightbulbs made with the  new, Nobel Prize-winning material: graphene. Finally, we were amazed by Stephenson’s Rocket at the Discovery Museum.
